'Live the Music' is an engaging and inspirational debut CD from Israeli
Stick player Irene Orleansky. Shades of Kate Bush mix with Peter Gabriel,
traditional Israeli folk melodies meld seamlessly with European influenced
club music. Funky dance beats and Tony Levin inspired bass lines share
centre stage with heartfelt lyrics and interlocking Stick lines.
Irene has pulled together a truly international cast of support players. In addition to Irene's vocals, Stick playing and programming, Asi Kojak (Israel) provides club remixes, Kirill Malahov (Russia) adds vocals, programming and sound and Stick player Guillermo Cides (Spain) brings his always exiting and invigorating music to the disc. The interplay and communication between players is astounding - hard to believe that much of the recording was done via the Internet.
If you're a fan of timeless music that transcends borders both geographic and musical, this is the disc for you. There is even a beautiful version of NS/Stick player Don Schiff's tune Deep Within Your Soul proving once again that nothing is off limits for Irene.
